KTN Event: Researcher showcases 3D Printed Electronics for Bioinspired Devices

On Thursday 13th February, Matthew Shuttleworth - a researcher from the Future Manufacturing Processes Research Group - showcased some of his research at the 'Nature inspired solutions - What is hot in the North?' event. This was organised by the Nature Inspired Solutions Special Interest Group (NIS SIG) of the Knowledge Transfer Network KTN) and hosted by Heriot-Watt University.

The event was aimed at informing cohorts about nature inspired engineering and promoting nature inspired solutions for industry. Through keynote talks and interesting showcases, this NIS SIG event highlighted possible solutions to industry challenges by shining a spotlight on systems already present in nature and biology.

Matthew showcased his research in 3D Printing Durable, Flexible and Conformal Electronics for Bioinspired Devices which he conducted under the supervision of Dr Robert Kay.
